A benchmark for in-house video production

This week I taught 6 delegates from 5M publishing/Benchmark holdings PLC how to shoot and edit video for journalism.

The team were experienced agriculture journalists who wanted to expand their publishing skills from text to video-based content.

We spent 2 days training 'on location' at the lovely White Hart in Wytham. Once we had looked at the different types of equipment we were able to take advantage of the beautiful Oxfordshire scenery to practice filming on location, just what might happen when back at work.

Each student had a chance to try different crew roles and present a piece to camera which they had written to introduce themselves to their wider company. Our final day was spent editing and adding graphics to the footage.
